The well-known Korea-based online game developer Actoz Soft is going to conduct a large-scale update (version 4.1) for its adults-only side-scrolling action MMO Dark Blood on June 22.

The update will go by the name of “Call of the Death”, through which more adults-only content will be tied into the game including bloody scenes and sexy clothes. Additionally, a variety of summoning runes will be made available for players to summon the death. In-game bosses will also be made much more intelligent in aid of more strategic battles, and will be attached with fatal skills to demonstrate their unique charm.

Besides, Dark Blood 4.1 will see its level cap rise from Lvl 40 to Lvl 45, make open 5 wholly new instances, add a high-level equipment system, update characters’ skills and the enhancement system, and set more distinguishing class features. Supported by the above content, the game will provide players with more impressive gameplay.

AIKA Online is an ambitious MMORPG title is set in a massive world with five nations battling for supremacy. Developed by JoyImpact, AIKA Online is located in the massive world of Arcan. Players are immersed in a game filled with castle sieges, large-scale battles and questing.

Each of the five nations is headed by a Lord Marshall, a player who is tasked with supervising the war effort. Each nation’s Lord Marshall is supported by a guild regime and serves as his generals. Massive in every way, AIKA Online is a truly ambitious MMORPG that tries to outdo other titles by mere size.

One solid example how big the game is the different levels of PvP modes available to the players. Skirmishes may be fought by two small teams or really massive with a cast of 1000 players on each side. This feature alone makes it stand out from your usual MMORPG.

Being a free to play MMORPG does not stop it from giving players a wonderful gaming experience. Stunning graphics and visually detailed world makes it a game that is sure to catch your eyes. A catchy storyline is also guaranteed to fire up the imagination of players during the game.

Thousands of quests and 15 distinct geographically distinct areas make sure that there is always something for everyone. AIKA online is really massive, 5 divided nations inhabited by thousands struggle to control the world and its vast resources. Complex guild systems and castle sieges determine who controls the AIKA’s destiny.

Vindictus is a 3D fantasy MMORPG based in mythology, created by devCAT, internal studio of Korean publisher Nexon. Vindictus was called Mabinogi Heroes before.

There are five playable characters, three at the moment.
Lann, specializes in dual weapons , wears light armor and has great speed, Fiona, a female character that wears shield and sword and wears heavy armors, Evie, magician that uses magic as a support, Karok, a giant and lastly Kai, an archer.

Features includes violence, blood from enemies and interactive environment, boss fights and party, enchant system. Game also includes a cash shop.

Dungeon and Dragons Online was first released in 2006, its release was extremely anticipated and had high reviews from the first day it was released to the public. However up until September of this year, it was Pay for Play. Turbine’s decision to make it free to play with a cash shop was a great decision, and what makes it so unique is that it was doing rather well as a pay per play, and making it free to play was not a last resort decision like the recent explosion of games coming to the free side. Hopefully this helps the community grow, and keep a strong game going for may more years.

The gameplay of Dungeon and Dragons (D&D) is simply the best I have played on a game of this scale. It does have its cons but they are minuet compared to the awesome style and well thought out battle system. This is the first game I have played that does not use the”click, click, click, done.” battle scheme. Instead, you have side to side movement attacks with the left mouse button, while the right mouse button uses your defenses, either your shield or weapon (Which you can duel up on weapons, I am not a big fan but I know some of you are). This is all played from the 3rd person view, and gives you a console like feel to it, but it still plays great on a keyboard and mouse. I can’t stress enough how smoothly this game plays. The AI is very smart, although I did find some of the lower class minions to be smarter than they should be, the game should also be a bit more ‘dark’ as I felt like I was tip toeing around in broad daylight for no reason. If your sole reason for picking a game is on the gameplay, then stop reading and download it.

The graphics, are top of the line as well, they probably won’t win any awards but they will not distract you in anyway, well except one. The shadow system is very odd, and did actually distract me in some ways I’m not a ‘shadow’ expert but none of the shadows felt like shadows, its hard to explain, but once you play it, its quiet clear the shadow of the character needs to be overhauled. However movements are fluent, smooth and believable. The game immerses you very well, making sure the character doesn’t look like a puppet pivoting on an axis.

The attacks and defenses are not the best in the genre but do well, the attacks come with a variety of swoosh effects and looks, things glow and give off an ambient light were they should. The defenses just simply put the weapon or shield in the air, and are assumed to be blocking the attack. However an character with a high dexterity and other maneuvering tactics is a bigger benefit, because unlike most MMORPGs, you can actually completely dodge attacks! This was a huge asset to anything but the heavily armored warriors in the game. Even in the start, with little but a pocket knife and towels a weapon and armor, you still can rely on YOUR ability not the roll of the dice.

The community is by one of the best and will not disappoint. But you must be expected for some quest and missions to be joining with others, it’s mandatory. The game may not make it seem like it is, however you will not have much of a chance without others. This should not be a burden, and should be one of the best features that the game has to offer you. You simply cannot be everything; you need the trap finding ability, but also the brute force of stronger grunts of a group. And you realize that not having them within your group is a bad idea, 2 hours into a dungeon.

Dungeon and Dragons also incorporates a hireling system, so if you do not want any live members, you can ‘rent’ some pre-made hirelings. And I also believe you can purchase some in the cash shop system. I never tested them out but heard good things about them in-game and should provide good ‘filler’ spots where you can’t find a certain class to go on missions with.

Overall this has to be one of the strongest free MMORPGs, a solid community, solid gameplay and graphics, along with a good, well done change of the genre usual. If you are looking for solid role playing game with massive multiplayer, this is one to try.

Lord of the Rings Online is a free-to-play 3D MMORPG published by Turbine, a publisher from North America and maker of Dungeons and Dragons online. The game is based on the movie Lord of the Rings.

There are nine playable classes in Lord of the Rings, which includes:

Burglar - dagger users and rogue class in LOTRO. Has stealth skills.
Captain – use a large variety of armors and weapons, a race of Man and can control pets, use buffs and tanking.
Champion - dual wielders and melee DPS class.
Guardian - wears heavy armor and has high defense.
Hunter - archer type, uses bows but has lower defense.
Lore Master – has skills that traps enemies and may call animals to fight on their side. Support on allies.
Minstrel – known for their healing abilities. Uses ballads.
Rune-keeper – both has damaging skills and healing skills but needs to focus on one during battle.
Warden – uses Javelins as weapons and has more defensive skills.

There are also four kinds of races, which has playable classes under each race. Four races includes, Man, Hobbit, Dwarf and Elf.

Game features includes quests, raids, challenging deeds, housing and crafting.

Last time I visited Ndoors Interactive’s free-to-play 2D sidescrolling MMO, WonderKing, was back in January when the game was still in beta testing and heading into launch. Fast forward three months later and the developers are on the precipice of adding PvP to the game in the form of “Battlefields.”

Gala-Net has announced that their MMO Rappelz will be getting a new expansion this Fall. Titled “Epic 7: Awakening”, the expansion will contain new zones and an overhaul to the Guild System.

Epic 7 will see The Veiled Island be expanded to four times its current size. Some of the new areas include the Nanani Breeding Grounds, home to giant killer insectoids, Unicorn Forest, and Dragons Nest. The Veiled Island is the location of the new The Hidden Dungeons, which will hold items and gear for high-level players.

Along with all the new content, Epic 7: Awakening will bring in a complete overhaul of the current Rappelz Guild System. New features and cosmetic changes will be added, along with a tameable Death Tyrant.
